Ben Suber

GIS Manager

As GIS Manager, Ben brings a highly analytical and detail-oriented approach to project research, forward planning, and entitlement strategy for residential, commercial, and industrial projects. Over more than a decade with Schmitz & Associates, he has helped strengthen the firm’s GIS capabilities, improve hearing preparation systems, and support projects through multiple hearings, appeals, and approvals. He is skilled in ESRI ArcGIS and has created maps and exhibits used in presentations before the City of Malibu, Las Virgenes Municipal Water District, and the California Coastal Commission.

Education

Ben earned a Bachelor of Science in Regional Development with a Spanish minor from the University of Arizona in 2009 and a Master of Public Policy, with a specialization in American Politics and State and Local Policy, from Pepperdine University in 2012. While working at Schmitz & Associates, he also earned an M.S. in GIS & Technology from the USC Spatial Sciences Institute. Ben is currently serving as Vice President of the Los Angeles Chapter of the University of Arizona Alumni Association and completes community service at the Westside German Shepherd Rescue near Downtown Los Angeles.
